Bill Stephan, IU vice president for university relations and corporate partnerships, will be leaving his post in early March to accept a position as senior vice president for communications and community relations at Clarian Health Partners. Stephan announced his pending departure from the university last week.
Stephan, an attorney, served as interim vice president from July 2001 to the time of his appointment as vice president in early 2002. Before assuming his current duties, he served as special assistant to the president and worked on economic development issues for the university. He has had a long career in the public and non-profit sectors, including working as chief of staff to former Indianapolis Mayor Stephen Goldsmith and serving as president of the Indianapolis Private Industry Council.
