IU Northwest celebrated
its second annual homecoming earlier this week. The campus has its
roots in the IU Calumet-Gary Extension, established in 1932 in East
Chicago. The first building opened at the current site in 1959. There
are now 15 buildings, including the Northwest Center for Medical Education.
This spring will mark the 35th anniversary of IU Northwest’s first
graduating class.
