‘Big Hair, Short Fuses’ in New Albany

Things will be jumping at IU Southeast’s Ogle Center, Fri., Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m., when the Four Babes show up with their signature folk-rock music in a show they call “Big Hair, Short Fuses.” The group’s publicity information gives you an idea of what to expect—and it’s not “Michael, Row the Boat Ashore.” Instead, “...take Helen Reddy, Anne Murray, Olivia Newton-John and a female Elvis impersonator; lock them in a dark closet together for six weeks on a diet of raw tater tots; then turn them loose at a suburban strip mall before dropping them on center stage.” The show is part of IU Southeast’s The Different Drummer series sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission, the Arts Council of Southern Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts.
