An ‘artist’s artist’ to lecture at Herron Monday

Robert Stackhouse, whose works are in many of America’s most famous museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, will lecture at the Herron School of Art at IUPUI.

He will speak at the Herron Auditorium about his life and work, Monday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. Described as “an artist’s artist,” by Robert Eagerton, a professor at the Herron School, Stackhouse is known primarily as a sculptor and has produced a number of large-scale works commissioned by major museums and corporations throughout the world.

He is the Lamar Dodd Chair of art at the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art.
