IUPUI houses the Frederick Douglass Paper Project, a collaboration with the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Yale University and West Virginia University. The plan is to produce a 14-volume series of the edited texts encompassing Douglass’ principal speeches, interviews, essays, newspaper editorials and autobiographical writings.
