Steve Roberts, a contributing editor at U.S. News & World Report and a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University, is co-author of From This Day Forward, an account of historical American marriages, including his own three-decade marriage to co-author Cokie Roberts. The two also write a syndicated column that appears in more than 500 newspapers across the country.
