‘Give War a Chance’

Gonzo journalist to flesh out Omnibus Series at IPFW

O'Rourke

P.J. O’Rourke will bring his “Politics of Worry” to the IPFW campus Tuesday, April 8, with an appearance at 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Walb Union. He is the last speaker in Fort Wayne’s annual Omnibus Lecture Series.

O’Rourke has toured the fighting in Bosnia, visited the West Bank disguised as “P.J. of Arabia,” lobbed one-liners on the battlefields of the Gulf War (Give War a Chance: Eyewitness Accounts of Mankind’s Struggle Against Tyranny, Injustice and Alcohol-Free Beer) and lays claim to more citations in the Penguin Dictionary of Humorous Quotations than any other living writer.

His most recent book is The CEO of the Sofa.
