Campus Life Division recognizes student service excellence | |
| Special recognition was accorded Beverly Warren earlier this week for her contributions to the IUB Campus Life Division during her tenure as director of the Student Advocates Office. She will retire in May. The occasion was an awards reception hosted by Richard McKaig, IUB dean of students. Others receiving accolades were:
• Student Award: Jamie Hockensmith, a senior in nursing from Schaumberg, Ill. • Student Staff Award: Ray Tice of Student Disability Services and a senior in telecommunications from Deputy; • Gordon Faculty Award: Ellen Brantlinger, IUB professor of education • Staff Award: Melanie Payne of Orientation Programs • Division Support Staff Award: Kim Denny, Office of the Dean of Students • Shaffer Professional Staff Award: Nancy Stockton, a psychologist and staff member in Counseling and Psychological Services, IU Health Center • Schreck Community Award: Iris Kiesling, Monroe County Commissioner • Campus Program Award: the Job and Career Fairs series implemented by the Career Development Center • Shoemaker Special Merit Award: Kenneth R.R. Gros Louis, IU Bloomington chancellor and vice president for academic affairs.
The Campus Life Division includes the Dean of Students Office, the Alcohol and Drug Information Center, the Career Development Center, the Development Office, Disabled Student Services and Veterans Affairs, the Health Center, the IU Parents Association, Student Activities, the Student Advocates Office, Student Ethics and Anti-Harassment Programs and Student Legal Services. | |
