IHETS ‘click and mortar’ conference Tuesday at IUPUI

The Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS) is sponsoring “Alternate Visions: Prospects for the Bricks-and-Mortar Institution in a Virtual Age” at IUPUI’s University Place Conference Center on Tuesday (April 3).

Carol Twigg, executive director of the Center for Academic Transformation, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.; David Spencer, president of Michigan Virtual University; Mary Beth Sussman, chief executive officer of Kentucky Virtual University; Linda Thor, president of Rio Salado College, Maricopa Community Colleges, Phoenix, Az.; and Jeff Livingston, dean of continuing education at Weber State University and former CEO of Western Governors University, will be making presentations. Additionally, Lloyd Benjamin, the new president of Indiana State University, will speak at lunch, and Dave King, IHETS executive director, will talk about the future of the Indiana College Network, the state’s virtual university.
