WCTV

Ruth Mills (shown in her former space), general manager of WCTV, is happy to have the additional space and amenities in Hayes Hall

Phyllis Amick (at far right), superintendent of Richmond Community Schools, gets a tour of the new WCTV studio, sans equipment, from station general manager Ruth Mills (center).

Room to move

Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) has been on the IU East campus since 1994. Currently, the community cable access service has three local stations and IU East internal station WIUE. More room for WCTV activities has been needed for some time. The new facilities for WCTV at Hayes Hall include updated office spaces, significantly more room for control equipment and a “green room” for guests. The most exciting addition, though, is a television studio. WCTV staff members are looking forward to further cooperative efforts with faculty and students.

Equipment for WCTV, once crammed into three small offices, now will have sufficient space to be fully utilized.
