The National Art Museum of Sport has launched an exhibit at its location at the IUPUI University Place Conference Center that focuses on the work of artists represented in the museum’s collections who also have served as combat artists, artist-correspondents or members of the armed forces who drew in their leisure time.
The Greatest Generation of Sports Artists in War and Peace contains more than 50 pieces, equally divided between sport subjects and wartime work. The exhibit continues through May 31. Work has been loaned to the exhibit by the museums and art collections of the U. S. Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
