The IU Kokomo Singers, directed by David Britton (right), perform for an Ash Wednesday service at Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kokomo, one of several public performances this year.
| Medleys from the musical Miss Saigon and songs by the vocal jazz group Manhattan Transfer are expected highlights from the Friday, April 22, concert by the IU Kokomo Singers. The free 7 p.m. event is in Kresge Auditorium.
The IU Kokomo Singers will also be featured in salute to military veterans during a May 4 concert presented by the IU Kokomo Howard County Community Band. The 6 p.m. concert will be performed on the campus Earth Stage, weather permitting.
The April 22 program will include selections from the 16th-century madrigal work “Weep, O Mine Eyes,” “Angels Among Us” and “Achieved Is Thy Glorious Work” by Haydn.
