Tributes and appointments--IU Southeast

Ann Glazer, humanities, attended "Toronto 2000: Musical Intersections"” which was composed of 15 American and Canadian musical societies. She is a member of the American Musicological Society and the College Music Society.

"Vernon Lee's Renaissance: History from Below" was the title of a paper read by Christa Zorn, English, to the William Morris Society at the Modern Language Association in Washington, D.C.

Lee Morganett, education, attended the National Council for the Social Studies annual convention, presented two sessions and participated in a discussion. The meetings were in San Antonio, Texas. He also represented the Indiana Council for Social Studies in the House of Delegates.

 
An article, "Eternal Peace--Hope or Illusion?" by Curtis Peters, philosophy, has been published in a Russian translation in the Kant Collection, Vol. 21, of the Kalingrad State University.

 

Bernardo Carducci, psychology, has written a chapter, "What shy individuals do to cope with their shyness: A Content Analysis." It is included in a book edited by W. Ray Crozier entitled Shyness: Development, Consolidation and Change, published by Routledge. Carducci is director of the Shyness Institute and was a recent guest on IU Home Pages' "Conversations on line."
