Jesse Jackson, Rainbow/PUSH Coalition founder and president, spoke at IPFW April 19. He touched on a number of topics, including economic justice, civil rights, the war in Iraq and peace. On the domestic front, Jackson said money needed for housing, medical care, and education is being spent in Iraq; he wants U.S. troops brought home and said he is considering going to Iraq to free hostages held by Islamic militants.
