| Just ask Bruce Burgun (theatre and drama), Jillian Kinzie (education), John Rommel (music), David Rubinstein (business) or Barbara Wolf (education)—the highest and most cherished reward in teaching is to know you’ve had a positive and lasting effect on even one student.
These five faculty members on the IU Bloomington campus were recipients of this year’s Student Choice Awards, presented to three to five professors each year by the IU Student Alumni Association. The awards are a measure of demonstrated loyalty and strong commitment to the university and its students.
This year more than 700 nominations of faculty were submitted to the IUSAA office. Ten finalists with the most nominations were determined by student foundation members who then interviewed nominators. Based upon the interviews, five finalists were chosen to receive the Student Choice Award. |
