| • Nikolas Heynen, an IUB doctoral candidate in geography, is the recipient of the second annual Won-Joon Yoon Memorial Scholarship, in memory of the IU graduate student who was killed July 4, 1999 by a white supremacist. Heynen’s research has focused on issues of social justice, specifically as they relate to minority populations and the environment. His dissertation topic is “The Ecological Ramifications of Urban Restructuring to Social Justice in Indianapolis: 1960-1990.”
