What’s cool—pick of the week

Try: http://soundmedicine.iu.edu/

Want to hear a little Sound Medicine? Physicians from the IU School of Medicine are delivering healthy doses to listeners through a WFYI radio broadcast at noon Saturdays. But listeners can also “tune in” on line at the Web site above for archived shows. To educate and encourage listeners to make sound health and medical decisions and to provide a forum for issues affecting their communities, the show provides expert commentary on various health issues and “supplemental reading.” Last Saturday’s featured subject, for example, was Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with Dr. William Kronenberger. Other experts tackled the subjects of ear tubes and playground safety. You can hear that broadcast on line. Tomorrow’s topics will be medicine and spirituality, heart bypass and memory, and fetal alcohol syndrome. Got a question about one of those topics? There’s an E-submission space on the gateway page.
