OutreachGlen Park neighborhood receives Weed and Seed designation LEGO, future city competitions open for registrations at IPFW LEGO, future city competitions open for registrations at IPFW
Even though most schoolchildren have been out of school for little more than a month, deadlines for next year’s activities are already on the horizon. Team registration for the FIRST LEGO League is now open. Teams can visit the national Web site at www.firstlegoleague.org to register. The overall theme this year is “Ocean Odyssey;” a specific challenge will be issued to teams later this fall. Registration closes Sept. 30. Meanwhile, schools can register for the Indiana Regional Future City Competition until Oct. 15 for just $25. With this registration fee, teachers will receive a copy of SimCity 3000 software, engineer-mentor and teacher handbooks, admission to two help sessions and weekly E-mail reminders. For more information on either program, call Carol Dostal at 260-481-6905.
