Laurie Sullivan, director of University Information Systems (UIS), has been re-elected to serve on the board of the Higher Education User Group (HEUG). HEUG (http://www.heug.org) consists of higher education institutions using PeopleSoft products and provides a forum for sharing information and experience among higher education customers on matters of common interest about Oracle PeopleSoft implementations. IU project staff involved with IU's PeopleSoft implementation--as well as staff from various IU offices--regularly attend and present at the HEUG annual conference which recently took place in Las Vegas.

"Indiana University has reaped many benefits with our attendance and participation at the HEUG," said Norma Holland, associate vice president for University Information Systems. "IU is presently active in several product advisory groups, including the Technical Advisory Group, the HR Product Advisory Group and Reporting Product Advisory Group. Laurie has made significant contributions to the HEUG Board. The HEUG has provided an excellent forum to learn from other universities and share our experiences at Indiana University."

Sullivan is responsible for the PeopleSoft implementation of IU's Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and Student Information System (SIS), with oversight of the technical and functional project team. Nationally, she works with Oracle PeopleSoft, university communities and fellow HEUG participants to promote the needs of higher education. She most recently served as the vice president of the Product Council on the board and was an active board member in that area for several years.
