The battle against breast cancer has long been a commitment for IUPUI’s doctors, nurses and researchers as they seek cures for the disease and care for those who live with the disease. So, it is a natural fit for the campus to host the annual Susan Komen
Race for the Cure in Indianapolis. This year the event attracted 20,000 people focused on raising both funds and public awareness.
IUPUI, a gold sponsor of the race, served as both start and finish line for the men, women and children who ran, walked and rode wheelchairs in support of the cause.
For the third consecutive year, IUPUI fielded the largest team in the university/campus division, with more than 650 university employees and their families joining the effort.
