By Suzanne Derengowski
Indiana University East students will have the opportunity to participate in the newly formed international exchange program between the Richmond campus and the Centro de Estudios Universitarios in Monterrey, Mexico. Students will travel to Monterrey Oct. 8 with IU East Spanish instructor Laura Dennis-Bay for a week-long experience. The academic and cultural exchange, conducted in English, will give students an opportunity to explore current political changes and Mexico’s perception of the United Stat es, as well as U.S. perceptions of Mexico. Students also will gain an insight into the economic development of Monterrey and the impact of NAFTA on the two countries’ economies.
