Huckfeldt

Madison

From table talk with family and chats at the check-out, to more formal influences such as labor union halls and churches, the information processing habits of Americans bear heavily on choices made in the voting booth. Why do we vote the way we do? Some reasons may surprise you.

Join historian James Madison as he interviews political scientist Bob Huckfeldt, IU Endowed Professor of human studies, on our next audio stream program Oct. 27. Huckfeldt has been involved in a number of national and cross-national studies evaluating the ways in which citizens process political information in a democracy.
