IU Credit Union testimonials

Lynn and Ute Coyne

How long have you been an IU Credit Union member?

Lynn first joined as a student at IU over 30 years ago. Ute, a nurse, joined through Bloomington Hospital more than 20 years ago for Direct Deposit.

What products and/or services do you find the most valuable?

We appreciate the convenience of the ATM machines and the Home Teller service is invaluable to keep track of different accounts and move money to get the best interest rate.

Why would you recommend IU Credit Union membership to your family and friends?

The Credit Union understands the needs of its members as a focused, membership organization. Because of its focus, the Credit Union can access and determine its members needs quickly. Its services are convenient and personal. Questions and concerns are promptly addressed.

"We are long-time Credit Union members because it has given us great service over the years and is accessible near our workplaces. The staff is local, friendly and responsive."

—Lynn Coyne, assistant vice president for administration, Indiana University

"I have been using the Indiana University Credit Union for over 25 years. I use Home Teller, car loans, savings, checking, line of credit, Direct Deposit and many more of their many services. I have always found them helpful and friendly in all aspec ts of service. I have and do recommend them to all my friends."

—Paul Hazel, director, IU Bookstore

"We are members of IU Credit Union because of the convenience of the on-campus location, the simplicity of banking at a small branch and the competitiveness of the rates. The staff are exceptionally helpful, cheerful, recognize us personally and our ba nking needs are promptly met. Conducting our banking at IUCU is a very satisfying experience."

—Timothy Fisher, associate professor of geography and chair of the Department of Geosciences at Indiana University Northwest

"Everyone is so friendly! That's very important to me. It doesn't matter if they are a teller at the 17th Street drive-thru, if they're Terral Curry in Mortgages at Winslow or Nan Morrow in Marketing, everyone treats members like family. Especially whe n you need loan information, it's nice when you can stop in and get real help."

—Katie Weismiller, head coach, IU Women’s Volleyball

"With my office in Assembly Hall, it's great to have the IU Credit Union right next door across 17th Street. With my hectic schedule, it's very convenient for me to dash over to the drive-up ATM for some quick cash."

—Kevin Richey, director, IU Athletics Food Services

"Nearly all of us in the department belong to the IU Credit Union. Our membership ranges from one employee who has been a member for over 30 years, to another student employee who just recently joined. Together, we draw upon the full range of benefits— savings, checking, low-rate auto loans and personal loans, investments, on-line banking, and free ATM usage. The convenience, flexibility, and personal service make us all loyal to our Credit Union!"

—Sue Artmeier, public relations/marketing manager, The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation

"How has the IU Credit Union come through for us? We were able to lower our mortgage interest rate considerably on our mortgage a few years ago without refinancing, through a program offered by IUCU. For a fee of $750 we lowered the interest rate and went from a 30-year to a 15-year loan. Our mortgage payment only increased about $40 a month. We will be able to save considerably on interest and have it paid off sooner. The extra money can be saved for retirement or for our youngest son to attend co llege."

—Cheryl Crouch, director, IU Marketing Services
