IU’s Clemmer named one of ‘Brilliant 10’ by ‘Popular Science’ | |
 Clemmer | David Clemmer, chair of the Indiana University Bloomington Department of Chemistry, has been named one of Popular Science magazine’s “Brilliant 10” scientists.
Researchers showcased in the magazine’s November issue were selected based on comments from the nation’s science department heads and academic think tanks among others. The article recognizes Clemmer for his inventor’s prowess and his expertise in proteomics—a new, multidisciplinary field that seeks uses for gigabytes of raw data churned out by the Human Genome Project. Clemmer has received numerous honors, including the 2000 Phi Lambda Upsilon Fresenius Award for outstanding contributions to the field of chemistry.
