Graduates of IU South Bend’s bachelor’s degree program in nursing have passed the National Council of Licensure Examination at the highest rate of any of the six campus programs of the IU School of Nursing for 1999-200 0. IUSB grads pass rate was 94.7 percent, way above the national pass rate of 84.7 percent.

The newest IU honorary degree recipients are Hoosier newspaper publisher Scott C. Schurz, president of HoosierTimes Inc., and IU alumna and philanthropist Barbara B. Jacobs, former owner of the Cleveland Indians. The degrees were conferred Oct. 20 in con junction with the re-dedication of Showalter House, headquarters of the IU Foundation in Bloomington.
