The newest IU honorary degree recipients are Hoosier newspaper publisher Scott C. Schurz, president of HoosierTimes Inc., and IU alumna and philanthropist Barbara B. Jacobs, former owner of the Cleveland Indians. The degrees were conferred Oct. 20 in con
junction with the re-dedication of Showalter House, headquarters of the IU Foundation in Bloomington.
