• The Whitewater Valley Annual Art Competition exhibition begins Monday, Nov. 10 and runs through Jan. 30 at IU East, with a reception Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Judging of the competition is tomorrow (Nov. 1).

• WonderLab in Bloomington will launch its new bubble exhibit Saturday, Nov. 8. See “Viscosity Tubes” filled with liquids of different densities, compete in a bubble race, visit the special bubbles activity and demo station. It’s all very bubblicious.

• Winona LaDuke, environmental activist and author, is founder of Indigenous Women’s Network, lives on the White Earth reservation and works with the White Earth Land Recovery Program. She will be an Omnibus Lecturer Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Walb Union, IPFW. Her topic will be “Politics, Motherhood, and Environmental Justice from a Native Perspective”
