Business Outlook Panel forecast on line Monday

IU’s Business Outlook Panel has begun its tour of the state with stops in Indianapolis and Bloomington yesterday. The panel will make appearances in a total of 10 Hoosier communities.

The panel’s opening presentation at Indianapolis’ Columbia Club will be audiostreamed on the Web beginning Monday (Nov. 13). (See Web site at end of story).

The panel forecasts economic conditions for the state and nation for the coming year, and discusses current state economic development issues.

Appearing with the panel this year will be Morton Marcus, director of the Indiana Business Research Center; Larry Davidson, director of the Global Business Information Network; Bruce Jaffee, the Kelley School’s associate dean for academics; R. Jeffery Gr een, the Kelley School’s associate dean for research and operations; Michele Fratianni, chair of the Department of Business Economics and Public Policy; Robert S. Neal, associate professor of finance; James C. Smith, associate director of the Indiana Busi ness Research Center; and Willard Witte, IU associate professor of economics.

Moderating many of the panel presentations will be Dan Dalton, dean of the Kelley School of Business, and C. Randall Powell, assistant dean for company relations.

Joining the visiting panel for local presentations will be Ammar Askari, IUPUI-Columbus; Don Coffin, IU Northwest; Dagney Faulk, IU Southeast; Thomas Guthrie, IPFW; Robert Kirk, IUPUI; Gary Lynch, IU Northwest; Dilip Pendse, IU Kokomo; Thayr Richey of the Strategic Development Group in Bloomington; Barry Ritchey, Anderson University; Ashton Veramallay, IU East; and Mike Zimmer, University of Evansville.
