Remak receives Promotion of Excellence Award

Remak, a professor emeritus of Germanic studies, comparative literature and West European studies at IUB, has also served as director of the IU Institute for Advanced Study.

The presentation was made Oct. 30 at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center ballroom at a dinner hosted by IUPUI Chancellor Gerald L. Bepko. Also at the event were IU’s most recently named Distinguished Professors, Joan Austin, School of Nursing , and Milos Novotny, IUB Department of Chemistry.
