The new overtime rules established by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) are less than three months old, but businesses small and large may still be grappling with how to classify employees to comply with the laws.
IU Southeast’s School of Business will present "The New Overtime Rules" seminar as part of the Monroe Shine & Co. Special Topics Series from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the Hoosier Room on the ground level of the University Center on the New Albany campus.

Presenters will be Nancye Combs, president and chief executive officer of the consulting firm, HR Enterprises Inc., and Raymond Haley III, a partner with Woodward, Hobson and Fulton, LLP. Combs, whose specialty is workplace issues, is a lecturer for Bellarmine University. He has practiced labor law since 1981.
