Check out the new issue of Research & Creative Activity, the award-winning magazine of IU’s Office of Research and the University Graduate School.

In its 26th year, R&CA is one of the oldest continuously published institutional research magazines in America. The magazine has had a string of notable faculty members associated with it as editors, including Eugene Eoyang, Helen Nader, Sarita Soni, Ann Carmichael and the late Al Wertheim.

The fall issue, which focuses on the theme “The Art and Science of Medicine,” features a preface by President Adam Herbert on IU’s history of successful research programs and the university’s goal to heighten future research productivity. Other articles include a look at medical mistakes in patient care, a pioneer in stem cell research, weighing the moral impact of advances in medicine and science, and the IU School of Medicine’s use of actors to hone interpersonal skills in third- and fourth-year medical students’ skills.
